About Lustre plafonnier

Flush-mount designs attach close to the ceiling, but their decorative elements can extend farther into the room. Check the complete installed drop and width of the exact fixture before deciding how it fits your space.

Start with the space beneath the light and the width of its full silhouette. Then check the selected option’s light source and controls before ordering.

Choosing a Flush Mount for Your Room

Compare the profile

A flush mount sits close to the ceiling; a semi-flush design leaves a visible gap above the main body. Compare complete installed dimensions for the specific models, rather than assuming every flush mount has a shorter drop.

Concept only. Actual dimensions vary by fixture. Diagrams are not to scale.

Find the lowest point

Measure the ceiling height at the planned fixture location.

Height above floor = ceiling height − total installed drop Use the same units for both measurements. Total installed drop runs from the ceiling to the fixture’s lowest point. If only body height is listed, confirm the complete drop first. This is space planning, not an installation clearance requirement.

Check your room

Check any listed lumen output and whether the design uses replaceable bulbs or an integrated light source. If output or control details are missing, ask about the exact option before choosing.

Flush Mount Chandelier FAQs

What is the difference between a flush-mount and a semi-flush-mount chandelier?

A flush mount sits close to the ceiling. A semi-flush mount leaves a gap above the main fixture body. Individual designs vary, so compare the complete installed drop and width of the models you are considering.

How do I choose a flush mount for a low ceiling?

Measure the ceiling height where the fixture will sit, then subtract the product’s complete installed drop to find its lowest point above the floor. Check nearby doors and cupboards as well. This is a space-planning calculation; follow the selected fixture’s installation requirements.

How can I compare brightness and glare for a bedroom?

Use listed lumens to compare light output where available; wattage describes energy use. Check whether bulbs are exposed or covered by a shade or diffuser, including the view from the bed. Crystal reflections and room photos cannot reliably predict the effect in your room. Confirm light-source and control details for the chosen option.

Do flush-mount chandeliers all use replaceable bulbs?

No. The light source varies by model. For a bulb-based fixture, check the bulb base, permitted bulb type and wattage, and whether bulbs are included. For an integrated LED design, ask about replacement parts and servicing if those details are not listed.

Can I use my existing wall dimmer?

Check compatibility for the exact fixture, light source and option. A remote-control dimming feature does not establish compatibility with an existing wall dimmer. Ask for model-specific information when the listing does not explain it.
